Goteburg, Sweden - June 2010

This should have been posted before Hamburg as it was a very quick, one-day visit in-between Copenhagen and Hamburg.

We left Copenhagen and drove to Goteburg, Sweden and found our downtown hotel. After a short drive around the harbor, we found a very fine, Swedish restaurant (wish I could remember the name) and spent several hours there in leisurely and delicious dining. We also found an example of when an irresistible force meets an unmovable object:
After the next-day meeting, we caught the over-night, car ferry to Kiel, Germany. It was a picturesque departure and a decent buffet was provided on the ferry. The night was spent in an only-one-person-can-turn-around-at-a-time cabin and we caught a quick breakfast before we landed.

 Alvsborg Fortress

A short drive after departing the ferry found us in Hamburg (see previous post).
The ferry was a wonderful way to travel and hands-down beats driving all night.
