Woodstock Music Festival ~ August 1969

The festival took place in Bethel, New York, thanks to farmer Max Yasgur, who made his land available. Some tickets were pre-sold but most of the 500,000 people who showed up entered for free, mainly due to lack of security. It turned into a free concert. Today it is a historic site and we visited in April, 2025.
The famous stage was placed where the dark stones are.

This road and all others leading here were jammed with abandoned cars as people had to walk to the venue due to traffic jams.
And this guy was a lucky 16 year old from New York who had a friend with a father willing to drive three kids to the festival.
Today Bethel Woods Center for the Arts sits on the hill.
Peace out ✌💗
