Crisp Point Lighthouse, 1944 County Road 412, Newberry MI

Our first attempt to find this lighthouse took place in 2019 and it was a spectacular failure. We came in from Paradise, and GPS led us onto what were finally impassable roads. Last year we drove in from the West and found it easily. There were even a few signs to mark the way 😊 and it was worth the ride.
The lighthouse overlooks Lake Superior, was built in 1903-1904, and decommissioned in 1993. As with most everything else in 2020, it was closed to visitors.
We were still happy to have found it,
and this sign was a good reminder to never travel without some food, at least while in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan 😉
