Oneonta, New York - 6/2/13

From New York City, we drove north to Oneonta for one last visit before heading home.  As much as we love the city, it was beautiful seeing the green and the hills, although there were some dark skies as well.
We arrived in about 3 hours and brothers were reunited.
We were shown around the place and were served an awesome platter of food.

After we indulged ourselves, we were taken to a local monastery in nearby Otego.
Take away any religious ideas/differences and this is a very interesting place. The women are all farmers, artists, or craftswomen and are extremely friendly.

Here's looking at you, kid.
The chapel is humble and filled with icons.

Here's a 2 minute video from the farm.

But now it was time to move on, to Brewery Ommegang to be specific, brewer of Belgian style ales.

A visit to more wonderful family living in a beautiful spot,
 dinner,
and a sign to be noted.
We were greeted by a misty morning the next day and started to make our way home to Michigan via Canada.
